Swim Lessons

We did swimming lessons on June 6-16. It went really good! Tsadakah liked all of it except "bobs" which is when they have to dunk themselves under the water. She was the only girl in her age group. lol I thought that she would love that, but she didn't make friends with any of them this year. She actually was all by herself in between learning, but she didn't seem to mind so I didn't. Here she is practicing her front paddle.

Here she is getting ready to jump in from the side. At her Kindergarten check up Dr. Gould said that she has FINALLY caught up to an average weight. Didn't look like it helped in keeping her warmer, she is still cold!

Tsadakah in her back float. I think that this was her favorite/best drill.

Here she is doing bobs. She was such a trooper, doing things that she didn't love. It was a great experience this year!
She caught me taking her picture. I just love the fact that she is still young enough to get excited about seeing me in public. She was so excited to wave to me when she realized I was watching her and she even told someone in the class "That's my mom!"

Eliannah was a little more of a pickle! :) Still participated some of the time, so I can't complain.

In this exercise she was supposed to be running to get the ring when the teacher threw it, but she grabbed it out of the teachers hand before she could throw it and started to play keep away fro

the teacher. lol

She is such a beautiful child! I love her serene moments.

She is so funny because she would get out of the pool and jump like a frog for a minute and then get back into the pool. She is obsessed with frogs right now. We have already checked out every book at the library about frogs, and its not the cute little stories that she is interested in. Oh, no! She wants to read about and see pictures of real frogs. She was so thrilled when she learned that frogs have sticky suction cups on their hands to stick to things. lol

The other funny thing! She doesn't like to have water on her hands. At home I have to use hand sanitizer instead of washing (whenever possible) because she hates her hands to get wet. At home in the bathtub, if her hands (or bath toy) get wet she goes balistic! So, every time her hands would get wet she would climb out of the pool and shake her hands as fast and as hard as she could. Then she would get back in, but they would get wet again right away, so she was climbing out again and again!

I love this shot. She is playing peek-a-boo with me over the edge of the pool!

Where was MiKaylah this whole time? She was scaring a woman half to death by playing on the cement steps. Seriously, I see this woman downstairs on the pool in the opposite corner come sprinting across the center. I'm thinking oh no, someone must be seriously injured for her to be panicking like that. She ran all the way through the locker rooms and up the stairs to get MiKaylah. (who already knows how to do stairs) When she found out I was her mother she apologized. It was pretty silly. I know that I am a laid back mother but it seems like everywhere I go people make comments. Am I the only one? What about you? Has anyone ever said anything to you about how you are dealining with a situation?
