Thanksgiving

For Thanksgiving this year we had 3 meals! The sunday before we went to my sister Leah's house and there we had the kids perform a play, so we used the video camera for that so there are no pictures. It was fun.

Then on the actual day of we went to Mike's sister's house for dinner. We all played football (turkey bowl) that morning. I loved watching Mike play and it was fun to play with my sister in law, Stephanie. Jonathan made a really tasty bird!

Then, as if that wasn't enough, we went to Price to see Devin and Becky's new house. Way spacious! It was so fun to see everyone! The only downfall to the holiday was that we got the flew on the last day and Sayde and I had to travel home sick as dogs. But Mike was wonderful at taking care of us and didn't complain for a second.

Pix1 Sayde playing with her cousin Jaxton. They had a blast and had few fights!

Pix2 Eliannah here with Lokey, their new puppy. Seeing that cute little thing made me realize how big she is getting. She is not a tiny baby anymore.

Literary Hero? (That means fictional character from a book) Marmee off Little Women, and Adicus Finch from To Kill A Mockingbird.

Historic Hero? Winston Chirchill...and his father too.

Book of Mormon Hero? Heleman

Bible Hero? (Besides Christ cause He is everyone's ultimate hero) Peter

What would your symbol be? um...a lightbulb? lol

Family History Hero? Mary Fielding Smith!

What is the most heroic thing you have ever witnessed? Everytime my husband does some kind of work, like tiling, electric work, installments, carpeting, wood flooring, yard work, painting etc., I think that is heroic cause he never expects anything for his work.

What is the most heroic thing you have ever done? I once helped a handicapped girl up the stairs. I think it really helped her out cause she seemed to be struggling.

Happy Veterans Day!

I usually don't even know that it is Veterans Day. It really isn't a holiday that people take much notice of, but a couple weeks ago changed all that for me. My friends and I were at the park for our play date when Lindy was like "Is that a man over there in that ditch?" It scared me at first cause I was thinking it was a drunk bum or something. (I guess I have heard too many Bundy stories) From what I could see he was in a blue blaizer and had a tool, so I was like "I think it is a worker doing maintenance." (blonde moment I guess). But as we looked closer we saw that it was a cane!!! This poor little old man had fallen into the ditch and couldn't get out!

So we helped him get to the Sr Center he was trying to get to for his supper. The first thing that he did was show us his medals from fighting in WWII. He was so proud of them. He has a purple heart and a presidential medal. So when I saw that Veterans Day was coming up I decided to get the girls together and go visit him and listen to his stories.

He is a really funny man! He kept us laughing through the whole visit. He was shot 5 times while at Waterloo by a machine gun! His Friend who was just 20 pases off was shot in the head and killed. His name is Leonard, which is also my grandfather's name, and he was also shot in the head. He said that his son has all his clothes and helmet which have holes in them. He served 5 years total. And although he was injured in 1943 he continued to serve until he was released in 1945. He said that he just always had to vlunteer.

This is Lindy and I think that she is a hero too! She was the one who saw him and insisted on making sure he was okay and walking to the Sr Center with her tiny baby so they could come and get him after he'd fallen. I cannot imagine what would have happpened to him if she hadn't noticed him. Thank goodness!
So don't forget today all the people who have fallen for you to have a free country, freedom of religion and freedom to work and make so much money that you can have a computer. I know that right now with the man who has been elected as president there is a lot of fear. The future is uncertain but I am still proud to be an American.

Favorite Time Of Year!

Fall is my fav time of year! i love the sights and the smells! Ilove to see the colors of the leaves change, Aspens are the prettiest, all yellow and golden. When the sun hits them they glow! It is brilliant! The smells I love are the grapes, pumpkins, leaves, and corn growing in near by gardens brought by the crisp clear cold air. Not to mention all the wonderful smells of Back To School. In You've Got Mail, he says that he would love to give her a bouque of freshly sharpened pencils. I tell you, that would be enough to make me swoon. lol I also like the smell of crayons and new binders and the feeling of a new notebook and clean perfect erasers.

Here is Eliannah at the park. We had a great day and the weather was perfect! She has really blossomed over night. I had one of those mornings where you peek over the crib and realize that your baby has grown up over night. Her face changed ever so slightly! But because I see her daily i am the only one who noticed.

Tsadakah has been a lot more attentive to Elle now that she is sitting up. She will sit for hours reading her books and taking toys away from her and smothering her with kisses! Eliannah is so good about it too. Just always laughing and smiling about it. She looks up to Sayde so much already!

Here I am with my friends. We get together at least once a week and play. Our kids are all six months younger than the next. Sayde is 2 1/2, Abby (on the other end) is 2, Madison is almost 1 1/2, Eliannah is 6 months and Denelle (mommy in the middle) is pregnant. Ok so there are a few holes in the 6 month apart thing but still we have fun. Joanna is the name of my other friend here.

Happy Halloween 2008

Here is little Eliannah, the Unicorn! She looks so cute! She was not very excited about the candy. lol I sipose she will get it through me later. lol Cause yes I will be stealing some of Tsadakah's candy. Ha ha

I was a vampire! I was siposed to be Rosalie from Twilight, but nobody could tell, not even the ones who had read it. lol oh well. Maybe I look like a pig in this one! It kinda reminds me of Willow, when the warriors are all getting turned into pigs by the evil queen. ha ha! But I did really like the picture despite that cause of the cool halo effect.

We went to our ward's trick or treat! It was fun! They did chili and cheesy garlic bread and the salad was REALLY good! They had a costume parade and the kids went around to all the rooms for trick-o-treating. Then they took pictures and the kids got to make their own pumpkin frames for the pix. I thought that Tsadakah, our little swan princess, was going to be scared, but the desire for candy completely by passed the fear. lol

At the party we hung out with Denelle and Brad Miner, and their little girl Madison (1) Mike is Nepoleon again, but this year he is Nepoleon on vacation! lol We lost the real glasses for him. Funny thing is that he is wearing my glasses and they have little stars on the sides. Denelle is actually Mike's second cousin, her maiden name was Wilberg.

Look at that GORGEOUS face! I tell you, never in the world was there such a wonderful, well behaved, little baby. She is the Ultimate little princess. Not spoiled or selfish or demanding, but patient, loving, and happy! She is our princess.

She is 6 months now and I can't believe it. I love how much of a snuggle bug she is! She is sitting up now, and doing really well. She is close to rolling from her tummy to back.

Isn't that an Angelic face? don't let her fool you, she is a little monster! lol. I have always thought of her as my angel baby, because even though Eliannah is the best behaved, Tsadakah was a close second. I thought she was the best you could have until I had Eliannah. I am so blessed with good kids. lol Maybe someone up stairs knows that I couldn't handle anything more. Although she is in her "terrible" twos she is still calm in comparison. I know it could be worse.

I LOBE MY WEETLE GIRLIES!

Halloween is COMING!

My very favorite holiday is HALLOWEEN!
If you know me at all you know that I love any excuse to dress up, to be somebody else and to be silly! I already have 4 events marked on my calancer where we have to dress up! I can't wait! I will probably take pictures at each and post all about em. lol When I scrapbook, I always have 4-6 pages of just halloween! lol

Here is a recap of what we all were last year. Can tell who we all are?

Tsadakah-Boo from Monster's Inc
Rivkah-Marilyn Monroe
Mykl-Napoleon

You may concider my obsession an illness, but it is one I try purposely to give to other people! My friends and family are constantly asked what they are going to be starting in mid Aug. And if they can't think of anything I will figure it out for them and get them all excited about it.

This is my favorite picture of Mykl cause he isn't pushing his lips out on purpose, and he looks even more like him ha ha

Eliannah is now sitting up! She is also rolling from her back to her stomach! She is such a joy to have in our lives. She doesn't even cry when she needs me, it is a coxing coo.

This last weekend we went to visit Mykl's family and it was SO FUN! I didn't take pictures. *Sigh* but we had one last BBQ for the year. It was so good to see all of them because it has been so long since we have.

Last weekend, for conference, we went to visit my family. It was wonderful. I really loved the talks that were given. As we were leaving we lost Tsadakah. I was so scared! We were out searching the neighborhood and knocking on doors, just to have my sister find her asleep downstairs in a hall closet. The ironic part is that the sister who found her was also lost and found in that exact same way when she was a child. Ha ha!

"Give your children the best of everything money can't buy."
We went camping in Joes Valley for Labor day! It was a lot of fun! Both my sisters, Leah and Simcah, were there with their families, Mike's parents, and Mike's brother Devin with his family. The best part was the food! We had a ton of it and it was dutch oven quality! We mostly sat around lazy and just gabbed. It was a real "vacation."

This is Leah with her youngest of 5, Isaac. I thought this was so cute that he was hugging Eliannah and that she was hugging back!

Me, Simcah (nursing Asher), Anna, Becky (holding Eliannah), Leah (holding Isaac)

One of my favorite things in life is cousins! I LOVE that my sister and I had girls so close! This is Moriella and Tsadakah

Yep, you guessed it! I am potty training! The greatest curse that man has even been given. I just assume leave her in diapers till she is 10 and let her figure it out on her own! Some days I would rather burn her panties than have to clean them. UGG! Anyone have some good tips?

You don't have the time to sacrifice people who matter most for things that matter least.

"Money can buy a house but not a home, medicine but not health, amusement but not happiness...You need only dream that what you always wished for is what you already have!"
I am pretty late in writing it, but we had our four year annaversary on Aug 28th. Here is us before we left for the resturaunt! We went to Groggs, thanks to Devin and Becky's suggestion! It was SOOO GOOOD! If you are ever in Price...and why would you be, but it is so worth it! lol. I truly have everything that I have ever wanted. I am blissfully happy! God couldn't bless my life any more.

Ok so here is a picture of Mykl, Tsadakah and I all at about 2 years. Who do you think she looks the most like?

Eliannah 4 months old

Eliannah Jocelynn aka Elle, Eli Jo, or Eli belly Jelly bean, is now 4 months old.

She is obsessed with her feet! she has a hold of them 24/7 not to mention the pointer finger in the mouth.

Our lovely little lady is a chunky monkey! She is bigger than Sayde was at this age. So adorably rolly polly!

Mykl just got his "A" which in electrical field is a great accomplishment. His brother, Devin, just passed his journeyman's test. In the electrical field it is like passing the bar exam for layers. He felt so relieved to be done. Becky and I are so proud of our men!
Mykl's new "A" came with some goods. He got a
2$/hr raise! We are so stoked! We can't wait until he gets his next check and we can see how much more it is! He has been working SO hard and I am VERY proud of him. In true Mykl fashion, he is fabulous at everything that he undertakes. He has moved up so fast in his line of work. He is currently going to school and getting way better grades than I ever did, in classes that are way harder too.
We celebrated with them at the Olive Garden. It was yummy. Here we are with our girls, Sayde and Eliannah.

This is Tsadakah's cousin Jaxton who is one of her favorite people in the world. She still asks to see him all the time. It was fun to see them together again because they love each other so much

My girls are so cute together! I can't wait till Eli is a bit older so that she can toddle after Sadie and want to play. Or they are laughin tog all night long and I have to tell them that I am going to seperate them. I'm sure there will be times I will have to whip out the "Once I had a little sister..." song, but we all know that I can't even get to the moral of the story without crying, so I doubt they'll ever know why I sing it in the first place. lol. Sigh, I guess I'll have to resort to good old time outs.

Tsadakah is so much fun! Yesterday I finished eating dinner before her (which if you know me well, its a rare thing, I eat slow) and so she said, "Sink! Sink! Making sure that I took my plate to the sink. Then when I came back she said, "JOB! Five?!?!" and gave me a high five. lol

Wednesday, July 30, 2008

3 weeks ago I went to a baseball game with a bunch of family and friends. My sister's friend overheard me saying that I was thinking of going "natural" He thought that I ment, natural is in my "birthday suit" I thought that was pretty funny. But no, Natural as in, my hair color. I did it! What do you think? Tell me if you can see a difference. lol I think it is pretty acurate because it almost matches Eliannah's hair color exactly.

Here are MY GIRLS! Eliannah is getting so big! she is laughing and cooing and even grasping things already! Yesterday she pulled a yellow marker to her mouth. That is some great hand-eye coordination! Tsadakah is getting to be such a helper! She loves to bring me whatever I need. Diapers, wipes, blankets, or toys.

I cut my hair

I know that I look like a big copy cat of Becky, but I also cut my hair! Like her, I've been thinking about it for a long time and my hair was desperately needing it. ha ha
I saw it in a magazine when Becky was planning on going Brown and since have said that after I was done being pregnant I would try it. I was planning on doing it right after I had the baby, but I guess that I just haven't had the courage til now.
I really wanted something that was sexy, and sultry. I was so nervous that the bangs would turn out cheesy and make me look like a little girl, not a woman. lol.
Well, what do you think of it?

Monday, July 7, 2008

The 4th of July weekend has been crazy! We worked hard and we played hard! On the 4th Michael went on a hike while I took the kids, ours and his friend's 2 boys, to the parade. Then we had a BBQ with them, Ryan, Ashley, their 2 boys, and some in-laws in-laws, Shallece and Doug and their 2 boys. (Tsadakah was out numbered!) It was like thanksgiving in July! what a banquet! Then we played Mexican Train and lit fireworks in the street. (see video)
Then we woke up very early to get to work on my parent's house. Because it has flooded so many times, mold had grown in the carpet and walls and since they are on their mission we had to go tear out the basement with my other siblings. We worked all day! Then, to treat ourselves, we went to a Beez game! We got great tickets right up front! We met up with friends too. If we look delirious it is because we had no time to get ready for the game and go! Needless to say this is not my finest picture! But we had a lot of fun! My favorite part was at the end of the game when we went down on the field and watched fireworks from the nice soft grass! It makes me feel patriotic, and a little home sick for my Daddy. (We loved ooing and aahhing at the fireworks together.) Then Tsadakah got a chance to run the field like a player. SO CUTE!

Saturday, June 14, 2008

My Best Friend, Becky, moved away from us today! It was so sad. She came over to say goodbye and she told me not to cry...but I couldn't help it! She has been such a lifesaver to me these last 10 months that we have lived down the street from each other. We did everything together, including our grocery shopping! Becky, who is going to keep me from day dreaming in the frozen foods section now? I hope that you really like it down there in Price.Don't forget me!
These pictures were taken the night of Tsadakah's birthday. We decided against taking a goodbye picture on account of our crying and in work clothes to pack and move. "A friend is someone who knows the song in your heart, and can sing it back to you when you have forgotten the words." - Sent by Donna Roberts
God made us sister-in-laws, love made us friends. And to all of my other "sista's" out there, I'm so glad that I have had you as a part of my life. Life is a song and we shall sing it.

Heritage Park

Since my family was in town from the blessing we decided to go to the pioneer vilage in Heritage Park. It was such a blast. We were all surprised at all the fun things that there were to do out there. There was horsie rides, petting zoo, wagon rides, tours, and country dancing! Tsadakah had sucha blast! She LOVED riding the horse! I wish I had let her go 2 more times cause she was trying to jump the fence into the corall before it was even her turn!

Before we went to the Heritage Park we had gone to the Liberty Park. They have a splash pad there and it was pretty crouded. There were a lot of pre teens about 11 there who were very intimidating to our little ones, but Sayde was fearless! She was playing right in with them. I was so impressed!

My sister Leah made us, Simcah and I, myan wraps to carry our babies, and let me tellyou what a relief it was to have that. I didn't have Mike with me cause he had to work and I would have had a hard time chasing Sayde down with an infant in arms. It was all such a blast. I was taking so many pictures all day long. I am such a freak.
